I Pass Through Another No-Name Town | QD's

As soon as you enter this place you feel as if you are taken into a different world. QD’s (Quarter Deck) Restaurant - It is brilliantly nestled right next to the place where I live - Deira Dubai Creek. Though the service was a little bit patchy but nonetheless the ambiance and the chilled beer coupled with a great shisha made my evening. You should do make it before the sunset as you can easily find the best seats in the house and also experience the sun setting by Dubai's magnificent skyline. The scenery here is awesome and I love the atmosphere. Used to be one of my favorite places in Dubai.

World's Tallest Skyscraper: Burj Khalifa

Over-the-top, flashy or flamboyant; whatever preconceived notions you have about Dubai, one thing is for certain – it’s unlike any place you've ever been before. The second-largest of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is the fastest growing city and is a microcosm of Europe, Asia and Africa, all here to witness the breathtaking growth of this already staggering metropolis.

Tallest building in the world...
I couldn't agree more.

Being an expat I shouldn't miss the home of
the world’s largest performing fountain from the heart of
Downtown Dubai.

This dancing fountain in this iconic place was really an amazing experience of a lifetime.

The Dubai Fountain performs daily with a traditional music and I think they’re using a different music every day. The show usually starts at 8pm to 11pm and after every 30 minutes. For the afternoon it starts at 1pm til' 2pm but I prefer to go there at night cause it's more romantic. The dancing fountain is located in Burj Khalifa Lake, right outside The Dubai Mall on the Lower Ground Waterfront Promenade in the heart of Downtown Dubai.

Fantasizing: The Luxurious Burj Al Arab

I’m not a girl who dreams and fancy about hotels. I have some friends who work in the luxury hotel and they polish about hotels they dream of visiting someday — hotels with plunge pools overlooking mountains, glass-bottomed overwater bungalows and 50,000 thread count sheets.

Me? I get their fascination, but hotels aren’t my things and they don’t dominate my travel dreams alone…
Except for one.

The Burj Al Arab.

From the first time I saw a picture of the Burj Al Arab -
(One of the most luxurious hotels in the world) I dreamed of visiting it, but there’s no way I could ever afford to stay there for now, but hoping to make it one day, someday!

So, why not visit the beach that next to the hotel instead? Some of you may not know that there's an open beach resort located in jumeirah road close to the luxury hotel. It's open 24 hours just make sure that you'll bring your umbrella and all your beach stuff to make the visit a perfect one.

This is the beach where kite surfers also congregate and its great fun to watch them or have a go even for yourself. In the old days you could drive up on to the beach and have barbeques but this is not allowed anymore. It really is just a stretch of open beach and there are no facilities - so make sure you bring snacks and water etc. with you. It’s a lovely peaceful stretch of beach with views of the Burj Al Arab and you can take a good long walk up along the shore.

While watching the overlooking hotel,
it seems like I've almost reached
the dream of visiting it. :)

A Perfect Sunset at Al Mamzar Beach Park, Sharjah

A few weeks ago I had a quite rough time. I was shattered, emotionally exhausted and feeling nostalgic. I am feeling pretty much better now anyway, and yet after almost 9 months of being away from my homeland, there are certainly things from my old life that I truly miss. Missing my family and friends, the mild weather and the pleasant atmosphere, the Filipino food and culture and for not having a pet are the most difficult one. But I am feeling determined to take this time while I’m feeling great and still have a good mobility to explore the world.

In celebration of Eid Mubarak, together with my sister we went to the beach in one morning, which most likely we spend most of our time at the beach during weekends.

TAKE ME THERE!

We usually off to beach in morning, sometimes at noon, as the sun goes down in order to avoid the crowds and thats the best time to enjoy the beach and it can be peaceful to walk along the shore and have your own sentiments.

I love hitting the beach from time to time to relax and forget about the real world. Of course, this also includes taking good beach photos and being photographed to keep some memories of the vacation. :)

Laid-back afternoon with an epic fail jump shot! :D

A perfect sunset, indeed!
